It couldn’t have been more fitting to get to kick off the new year with this dreamy, in-home newborn session in Peachtree City with Amanda, Mark and their beautiful little ones. New year. New life. Although, baby Banks couldn’t wait for 2022 so he surprised his momma and daddy by arriving two weeks early on December 28th, 2021! I was so thrilled and honored when Amanda reached out to do an in-home newborn session a few weeks after he arrived. It’s always such a joy to capture those tender and precious first weeks of life and this session was no exception. Big sister Marin was full of energy and had my heart melting with the gentle way she held and snuggled her little brother. And Banks was so relaxed and calm in his mom and dad’s arms.

I love in-home newborn sessions for so many reasons but namely because of the fact that it’s…well…at home! There’s no rushing about to get ready or to a location on time. It allows families to relax and simply be and there are such tender and sweet moments that just naturally take place when everyone feels at ease. It’s so fun to capture them all. The way Banks grabbed his daddy’s finger. Or how Amanda just looked the perfect picture of motherhood- beautiful and glowing. Or how little Marin would hold her baby brother’s hand and gently snuggle against his cheek. And what better setting is there to capture all of that than home?
