I don’t even know where to begin. Somehow through all the chaos of our uprooted lifestyle, a tornado, and homeschooling my kids, I am still getting to do something I love. I STILL get to photograph beautiful wedding days and gorgeous families. I still get the privilege of capturing some of the most momentous and emotional occasions as well as the joy and sweetness of growing families. And THIS sweet family just made me fall in love with my job even more (which I thought was impossible but here we are!). Their springtime family session was an absolute delight and one of my favorites to date.

I got to spend the loveliest Saturday morning with these beautiful humans in my hometown and had so much FUN. (Yes we’re still down south. Another story for another day. Haha!) The trees were blossoming and everything was just green with the new life of Spring. Such a dream! And I can’t even begin to understand how the Lord blesses me with the kindest and most joy-filled clients but I. am. here. for. it. I mean just scroll down and look at little Emmy’s adorable smile!! Pure JOY! She smiled the whole session and I just couldn’t get enough! And her parents were so warm and kind and not to mention how they were absolute naturals in front of the camera! I could have spent hours photographing their sweet moments. But I wanna keep this short and sweet and just get to the good stuff. So here’s a little peek into their gorgeous springtime family session…trust me it’s one of the sweetest you’ll ever see. (I know I’m biased but it’s true!) Enjoy!

BEHIND THE LENS with alabama wedding photographer

Meet Sarah

At home in the garden. Ever-focused on finding beauty in simplicity and the art of creating.

I’m Sarah — a photographer and storyteller drawn to the quiet, meaningful moments that make up a life. Based in Auburn, Alabama, I photograph weddings and families across the Southeast — from Atlanta and Savannah to the coastlines of 30A and beyond.

In a world that celebrates what’s curated, I believe in celebrating what’s real. Your wedding day isn’t a production; it’s a promise — a gathering of love, a day filled with fleeting, unrepeatable moments. I’m drawn to the in-between: the laughter, the glances, the hands reaching for one another. Because beauty isn’t found in what’s staged — it’s found in what’s felt.

My approach is calm, intentional, and rooted in trust. I want you to be fully present — to breathe, to feel, to live in the joy of it — knowing I’ll preserve every honest, graceful detail.

Your story deserves to be told artfully, but never artificially. Long after the flowers fade and the music quiets, these photographs become part of your legacy — a reflection of who you are and the love that began it all.

I’m a wife, mother of four, and believer in the quiet beauty of everyday life. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me baking in our 120-year-old Alabama home or tending to our garden — simple rhythms that remind me to slow down and notice what’s worth remembering. That same rhythm shapes how I photograph love: with stillness, gratitude, and honesty.
