This past fall I had the absolute joy of photographing Jenn, James and their newest addition, sweet Ethan, at their lovely home in Shalimar, FL for an at home newborn session. Ethan was awake and alert for most of the session and just as calm and content as he could be in his parent’s arms. It was impossible to not be completely smitten with this little guy 2.6 seconds after meeting him. Such sweetness!

I had the absolute privilege to second shoot James and Jenn on their wedding day with Laura Anne Watson almost 2 years ago and I was so honored when Jenn reached out to me to photograph Ethan when he arrived. Little did we know that Ethan was too eager to join in all the fun and decided to come almost an entire month early!! We decided to bump up his session so that we could get those sleepy, squishy newborn snuggles and it was 1000% worth it. We chose the most light filled rooms in their home to photograph some sweet moments and I was in baby heaven the whole time. Newborn sessions like these bring so much joy and excitement now that we are expecting our own baby (#4!) in a few short months!

It was such a privilege and an honor to be a part of not one but TWO major milestones in Jenn and James’ life. Moments like these are a HUGE reason behind why I became a photographer in the first place so this newborn session was just another reminder of why I love photographing couples beyond their wedding day.
