Choosing a wedding venue sets the tone, aesthetic and overall imagery of your wedding day and the selection process can feel daunting to say the least. (*cough cough* hire a planner ASAP to help with this!). As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph weddings all over the southeast but I wanted to share three Georgia wedding venues stand out for their timeless elegance, picturesque settings, and European aesthetic in the Atlanta area: The Swan House, The Conservatory at Blackberry Ridge, and Chateau Elan. Each venue has its own charm and beauty and are breathtaking backdrops for wedding days.

1. The Swan House

Tucked away in the heart of Atlanta’s historic Buckhead neighborhood, The Swan House is a true architectural gem. And as much as I hate to admit it- architecture matters when it comes to your wedding day images. This stately mansion, built in the 1920s, exudes elegance and grandeur, making it the perfect backdrop for weddings. Surrounded by lush gardens, fountains, and manicured lawns, The Swan House offers a variety of gorgeous settings for ceremonies and receptions as well as tons of options for portraits. Whether you’re exchanging vows beneath the arbor or dancing the night away in the grand ballroom, The Swan House promises a wedding day that is nothing short of magical.

2. The Conservatory at Blackberry Ridge

Set in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains, The Conservatory at Blackberry Ridge is a hidden gem of natural beauty and rustic charm. This stunning *new* venue boasts a beautifully restored conservatory, surrounded by sprawling gardens, towering trees, and tranquil ponds. With its panoramic views and serene ambiance, The Conservatory at Blackberry Ridge provides the perfect setting for intimate outdoor ceremonies and receptions. I have yet to photograph a wedding at this venue since it opened just this year but I have no doubt this venue offers a romantic and unforgettable wedding experience.

3. Chateau Elan

Chateau Elan is a luxury resort and winery that epitomizes sophistication and romance. This gorgeous estate offers a variety of elegant indoor and outdoor venues, including a grand ballroom, manicured gardens, and a picturesque vineyard pavilion. So if you’re dreaming of a stunning ballroom affair or a rustic vineyard wedding, Chateau Elan can accommodate your vision with style and grace. With its world-class amenities, award-winning wines, and incredible service, Chateau Elan promises a wedding day that is as unforgettable as it is exquisite.
